Dear parents,

Welcome back to all of our returning students and families and a special welcome to our new students and families. We hope that everyone will have a wonderful time learning Chinese this year.
 
This year, in addition to the Chinese classes and extra curricular activity classes for our students, we are also offering Tai Chi and golf classes on Saturday mornings for the parents. Please join us for some morning exercises.  

We will have a Halloween costume contest on Saturday, October 31^st in the Cedarlane auditorium.  Your kids can come to school as their favorite Princess, superhero or cartoon characters.  Parents are also welcome to dress up for the occasion. We will be handing out awards for the best dressed individual and class.

The Southern California Council of Chinese School is now taking application for its fall competitions.  The competitions include, poster (art), English-Chinese translation, pen calligraphy, brush calligraphy and composition contests. The calligraphy competition contestants will be selected by the school for the competition, all other competition is open to any student who is interested in participating.

The participating students will need to pay a $10 registration fee. If your child is interested in participating in any of the competitions, please stop by the school office (B2) for more information. Please register by this Saturday so we can finish the registration process.
